There are many support services in Berlin for women who experience domestic violence. Many of these services specialize in supporting women with particular needs. BIG Coordination organizes the co-operation between these services and various different institutions in order to accelerate procedures of intervention and support. .   BIG initiates regular meetings with representatives of the institutions. They considerably help to maintain a dialogue, to identify structural shortcomings and to devise new measures.    In sustaining a close dialogue with other institutions such as courts, authorities or the police we develop concepts that do not only help to improve effective interventions but also take women’s needs into consideration.
