BIG Koordinierung (BIG Coordination) examines, develops and optimizes strategies and measures taken both to improve the protection of women and their children from domestic violence and to hold perpetrators accountable.

We have the remit to better the protection, support and information service for victims of domestic violence. Furthermore we provide information and counseling for professionals and interested parties. Last but not least we raise society’s awareness of domestic violence. We closely collaborate with other institutions that are concerned with the structural and political aspects of domestic violence intervention. This includes the police, civil and criminal courts, youth welfare agencies and welfare agencies, projects against domestic violence and other concerned policymakers. Thus a growing network is established. This network does not only support those affected by domestic violence but also helps fighting its causes on a long-term basis.
